Meet the Team

Scott Rice

Scott Rice, Co-Founder & President

I grew up in West Central Wisconsin on a farm where I learned the virtues of natural/organic firsthand in the ways we grew our vegetables and raised our animals. Literally "ground to fork." Little did I know at the time that my family was becoming part of the Midwest Organic movement that was gaining momentum 30 years ago in what is called the Driftless area. This is where companies like Organic Valley, Westby Creamery and GoMacro are headquartered today and is home to the popular La Crosse and Viroqua Co-ops. Living in a small and tight community instilled many values that I carry today - Integrity, Honesty, Caring, Appreciation, Respect, Dedication, Effort and Unity - that all goes along with my hard work ethic. Farming is not easy, especially when doing it the right way!

After receiving my BS degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison I now call Madison home along with my wife Sara, daughter Lilyah and son Jaylis. We enjoy attending UW-Madison sporting events, traveling and spending as much time as possible in the outdoors, especially on our beautiful lakes. We are big supporters of the Green & Clean movement, Community Support Agriculture (CSA) and our local Willy Street Co-op. Surprisingly, I find time to serve as President for my local Neighborhood Association and volunteer for many church and school events.

Sarah Breunig

Sarah Breunig, Co-Founder & General Manager

A Madison native I have always appreciated the value of good quality food. Our city is filled with restaurants, farmer's markets and grocery stores that showcase local farmers. In 2012 when the opportunity to become a Recruiter in the Natural Products Industry arose I thought to myself, "not only will I get to help people find jobs, I will be contributing to the vastly important health & wellness movement!" Needless to say I jumped on the opportunity and never looked back.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls I moved back to Madison. My husband (Mark), daughter (Hazel) and I now live close to downtown and enjoy taking advantage of all that Madison has to offer: restaurants, concerts, bike trails, lakes, and more! Aside from my family, friends, and career a big part of my life is spent with my horse (an off-the-track Thoroughbred named Red). I've been riding and working with horses for the last 20+ years and I'm currently training in Dressage, Hunter/Jumper and Parelli Natural Horsemanship. Not only is riding a lot of fun, it has taught me patience, discipline, compassion, and the value of hard work.
